Service Description

In this unique prenatal yoga class, students celebrate the community of pregnancy and motherhood and are encouraged to explore the changes their bodies are undergoing during this powerful experience. These classes focus on providing physical support during pregnancy and preparing for labor while incorporating gentle strengthening, stretching, body awareness, and breath exercises. Special emphasis is placed on balancing and aligning the muscles and ligaments of the pelvis and bringing baby into more optimal positioning for a more fluid birthing process. This practice also provides poses that offer exploration of strong sensation and the chance to explore coping skills to use when experiencing mental and physical discomfort. Finally, it incorporates elements of childbirth education designed to empower students in continuous learning about their bodies and the birth process. Open to all levels; no experience necessary.
